At Fika Counseling and Wellness, we offer mental health counseling for all clients. Our 50-minute sessions provide a safe, supportive space to explore your concerns, develop coping strategies, and work toward your personal wellness goals.

Typical Session
A typical session at Fika Counseling and Wellness lasts 50 minutes. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns with a trained mental health professional. We focus on creating a collaborative and supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
At this time, I do not accept insurance, as I am not paneled with insurance companies and believe there are important benefits to a self-pay model. When you choose to self-pay, a formal diagnosis is not required to justify treatment, meaning it does not become part of your permanent health record. This can help avoid a pre-existing condition appearing on your record if you later seek your own coverage.
Self-pay also allows your records to remain private, as insurance companies may conduct audits of clinical documentation at their discretion. Additionally, self-pay provides you and your clinician with the flexibility to choose the most appropriate treatment approach for your needs, rather than following insurance-driven guidelines. Finally, the length and frequency of therapy are determined collaboratively between you and your clinician, rather than being limited by an insurance company’s policies.
